Scott Dawson is an evangelist who has a passion for sharing the Gospel with all generations and equipping others to do the same.

Founder & CEO of Scott Dawson Evangelistic Association, he is a uniquely gifted communicator able to connect with those in all walks of life. Scott is a graduate of Samford University and Beeson Divinity School. He founded SDEA in 1987 when he was only 19 years old. In the years since, SDEA has shared the Gospel with more than three million people across the nation. The ministry reaches thousands annually through its student focus, Strength to Stand, one the largest student initiatives in the country. Scott has innovated in creating events to share Christ with people across the country, including Safe at Home Faith & Family Nights in partnership with Major League Baseball, Minor League Baseball, and the National Football League and Unite, regional gatherings throughout the continental U.S. which aim to bring communities together under the name of Jesus.

He’s published several books including, Dear God, Why? and The Complete Evangelism Guidebook. In his free time, Scott can be found on the golf course or spending time with his family. He and his wife Tarra reside in Birmingham, Alabama. They have two children, Hunter and Hope. Hunter is married to Shannon, making Scott the proud G-Daddy of Jett.
