Scott Dawson is an evangelist who has a passion for sharing the Gospel with all generations and equipping others to do the same. Founder and CEO of Scott Dawson Evangelistic Association, he is a uniquely-gifted communicator able to connect with those in all walks of life.
Scott is a graduate of Samford University and Beeson Divinity School. He founded Scott Dawson Evangelistic Association (SDEA) in 1987 when he was only 19 years old. Since then, SDEA has presented the Gospel face-to-face to over a million people across the nation. The ministry reaches thousands of students every year through Strength to Stand student conferences (one of the largest student conferences in the U.S). In addition to reaching students, SDEA has been innovative in creating events to share Christ with people of all ages across the nation. One of these is Safe at Home. Safe at Home Faith and Family Nights are hosted in Major and Minor League Baseball stadiums where America’s favorite pastime is combined with a presentation of the Gospel. Also, regional Unite events seek to bring communities across America together under the name of Jesus.
Scott has published several books including Dear God, Why? and The Complete Evangelism Guidebook. He also hosts the Dawson Now podcast. In his free time, Scott can be found on the golf course or spending time with his family. He and his wife Tarra reside in Birmingham, Alabama. They have two children, Hope and Hunter, daughter-in-law Shannon and a grandson, Jett.
